On these trips we are fishing all dry fly and all catch and release from the comfort and class of drift boats as we float 100 miles through the largest wilderness in the continental United States. These are very deluxe trips with top of the line camp accommodations and gourmet meals. Camps are set up and taken down for you each day by the hardworking crew so that when you arrive at the end of the day you can relax and enjoy your vacation. Camps consist of large tents for each two guests with cots, air mattresses, night stands and lanterns. Meals are enjoyed at large dining tables with arm chairs and guests have a warm shower available to them in the evenings. These trips are known for the gourmet food, complete with dueling entrees each night and copious side dishes.

Alabama • Your trip will begin at a pre-determined time, but usually sometime around daylight. No fishing or riding will take place until a full discussion of your expectations and goals takes place. I want you to have the trip you are paying your hard earned money to book. After we have an idea of what we are shooting for, we will start the trip. Each client or set of clients seem to have a complete different agenda as to what they wish to accomplish, some are practicing for tournaments, some for fun, and some for learning certain techniques. I will try my best to give you the trip you want.

New Jersey • Our bowfishing equipment consists of a new 2012 SeaArk 20' jon boat powered by a 40 hp outboard. Onboard we have a cooler for food and drinks. The boat has a raised front deck with six high pressure sodium and metal halide lights. We use a minkota riptide trolling motor to get into the shallows. Lights are run off a new Honda generator for quiet operation. West Wind Outfitters bowfishes out of the Delaware River in central New Jersey. Usually the day before the trip we will establish a meeting place with you. Trips will usually start at 8 p.m. and run until midnight. Please keep in mind that since bowfishing is a sight sport, clarity of the water is the most important factor, heavy rains prior to your trip could cause us to reschedule because of heavy silt conditions. Species of fish that you will encounter are common carp, grass carp, suckers, catfish and snakeheads. Most shots are within ten feet.
