Budge's Wilderness Lodge
Wilderness Camp Elk HuntsFrom $6,800 to $7,800
Gypsum • Budge's has more than a dozen permitted camp locations scattered throughout our 150 square mile area. However, we never use more than a handful in a single season. This allows us to rotate camp locations, reduce pressure, and increase hunt quality. Inside the Wilderness area boundary, there is no motorized access. Hunters will ride into camp on one of our sturdy saddle horses or mules. And all gear will be taken by our hard working pack animals. Once you're at camp, all hunting is done on foot. This makes it a good option for hunters who would rather not ride a horse out of the main lodge every day. Our wilderness camps are simple yet comfortable, with 16x20 wall tents and wood burning stoves, along with large cots and thick pads. Bring your sleeping bag and personal hunting gear, and we'll take care of the rest. An attached cook tent provides a separate space for our guides to prepare meals. Our wilderness camp elk hunts include meals, five full days of hunting, and eight nights of accommodations - six of those nights are in the wilderness camp. And two nights on either end of the trip will be spent in one of our cabins back at the main lodge.
Lodge-Based Colorado Elk HuntsFrom $5,800 to $6,800
Gypsum • Budge's Wilderness Lodge sits 40 miles from the nearest hard-surfaced road and is surrounded by Wilderness on three sides. From here, it's foot and horse traffic only. When elk hunting out of our main lodge, you'll enjoy cozy log cabin accommodations. These are the original cabins built by Ed Budge in the 1920s. Of course we've made some upgrades since then, including simple bathrooms, lights, and propane heat. Between the new mattresses, the comfortable linens and a spectacular backcountry setting, you might feel like settling in long term. Our lodge-based elk hunts include five full days of hunting, six nights accommodations and meals.
No Tell'em Creek Guide Service, Inc
Archery Elk Hunt OregonFrom $5,500 to $6,000
Oregon • No Tell'em Creek Guide Service is offering a fully outfitted 1x1 and 2x1 Archery Elk Hunt in Oregon. This all-inclusive 5-6 day hunt will include food, lodging and transportation once you have arrived at camp. Hunt method will be a variety of calling, spot and stock, and blind sitting. This hunt will allow you to chase elk along the various stages of rut and should be a fun filled hunting opportunity. We will mainly be using trucks to travel back and forth from hunting areas. You can expect long hunting days chasing these elusive animals. Hunters will also need to be prepared to walk, as you will be hunting some remote areas with these over the counter tags. You have to go the extra mile to bag your trophy. Hunters can expect to pursue 5x5 and bigger bulls that will peak out around 330-inch, even though cows are legal to shoot if the opportunity is too hard to pass. In the last couple years, bulls in the 350-inch range were pursued on this hunt. Hunters will be staying in a wall tent base camp. We will have three meals available, breakfast and lunch (usually to go), and dinner which is usually sit down. We will not be overfilling camp because this is a small guiding operation that is designed for quality hunts over quantity. This is a great opportunity to hunt rutting elk, and enjoy the outdoors with some new found friends.
