Being only 10 miles from Rocky Mountain National Parks, we are home to many of the migrating elk herds. Colorado is known for its large elk population and we typically see Bulls ranging from 275″ on up to 360″ in size. The C Lazy U Ranch is home to some of the best Mule Deer habitat in Colorado. Year after year we see trophy Bucks roll in for the rut. You can expect to see mule deer ranging in size from 180″ on up to 250″ plus. To maintain a quality deer population we only offer around 8 rifle mule deer hunts a year. If you are up for an exciting, once in a lifetime mule deer hunt, C Lazy U Ranch is the place to be. The C Lazy U Ranch is home to many moose that are seen year round on the property. Just a warning, these tags are very difficult to come by but if you are lucky enough to draw a moose tag we would be happy to provide you with a world-class moose hunt.

Plus, we have the flexibility and option to use 4wd vehicles to access an even larger hunt area. The camp features heavy duty, spacious wall tents with wood burning stoves inside for heat. The sleeping tents include sturdy cots with foam pads and lanterns for lighting. All meals are prepared and served in a cook tent provided with seating, tables and counters. Riding horses are available to be used daily to access hunting areas. One guide per each two hunters is provided or you may upgrade to one on one guide service. The packing out of harvested game is included. This camp is situated at an elevation near 10,000 feet.

Typically our best duck hunting takes place from mid October through the end of November. In mid to late October, many varieties of ducks migrate out of the high country and disburse along the Front Range, where they find an abundance of food sources, lakes, ponds, rivers, and sloughs. Soon our local and mountain birds will be followed by flocks of ducks from Montana, the Dakotas, and Saskatchewan. The most common species are Mallards, Teal, Widgeon, Gadwall, Red Heads, followed by a variety of other puddle and diving ducks. Stillwater Outfitter offers some of the finest decoy Canada goose hunting in North America. You will be hunting near Ft. Collins, Windsor, Greeley, Longmont, Brighton, and Denver, Colorado.
