• Bear hunts last four days. We will be hunting on old logging roads with numerous berry patches in the area. Hunting open hillsides with rocks, coming out of orchards and covering country are how we pursue these animals. Hunting starts the beginning of August and runs through the first part of October. Early in the season it can be pretty hot, so most of the hunting will be done early in the morning and just before dark.
Deer - Nobody has to battle the deer hunting crowds on public land where 1 in 10 hunters successfully find a legal buck. We guarentee you'll find a buck you'll want to shoot.
Turkey hunts last three days. If you have never experienced the rush of a big Tom gobbler running into your calling, you are missing out! This is very similar to elk coming into your calls. You hear them gobbling and getting closer, then all of a sudden, they appear right in front of you.

All the best motion decoys legal to this state and top notch calling to insure hunter success. Hunting out of established blinds, laydown blinds along the river and private ponds are our areas for hunting these great birds.
Goose - Hunting over Green Head gear decoys and experience callers continues to be uncrowded and exciting as we shoot from camouflaged pit blinds, lay-down blinds and the ever famous "snow box."

• The Timberghost Adventure hunt is a new hunt package we are offering for the first time starting fall 2011. A cross between our free range archery hunts and our preserve trophy hunts, these hunts are designed for the serious archery hunter that wants a real opportunity at world class bucks with better odds than free range hunts can provide, but without a guide leading the way. We have 550 acres of some of the best whitetail habitat in Southeast Iowa that has been fenced and intensively managed for over a decade that is now dedicated to semi-guided archery only hunting. Yes, there will be no gun hunting on the property any longer. With deer taken over 225 typical and up to 250 non-typical from this property in the past, the genetics are second to none and the possibilities are limitless with the genetic pool on this property.
There are roughly 40 ladder stands on the property and 15 ground blinds hunting travel corridors, food plots, and automatic feeders. We will take up to 4 hunters per week and there will be 2 hunters per guide. We will have active trail cameras on the property so hunters can look at up to date scouting information and talk to the guides about which stands are good for what winds in areas of recent activity. Hunters will be picked up for lunch if they want to come in and guides will prepare lunch and get them back out for evening hunt. After the evening hunt, hunters will head back to the lodge for dinner.
These are 4 day/5 night hunts for mature bucks. The cost is determined by the week booked only and, unlike most preserves, there are no trophy fees to worry about. The last thing we want is to have someone worried about something other than making a great shot. If a hunter harvests a buck under 150 we will refund 25% of the hunt cost. A non-refundable $1,000 deposit is required to hold dates so please call for available dates.

• In the rugged wilderness of New Brunswick, Canada we have plenty to offer. From Hunting Big Game Species such as Moose, Deer & Black Bear, to Small game from Geese to Grouse. Hunting is our Main attraction and passion, but not our only one.
We also offer Fishing trips like, wading for feisty native brookies in small streams, Boating for our abundant Small Mouth Bass and Muskies in the St John River, to casting a fly over deep pools for the sly Salmon.

• Upland game species in New Brunswic consist of Ruffed Grouse, Woodcock, and Snow shoe hare. We hunt upland in many abandon farm areas. A typical hunt would consist of driving to a location and walking the area to flush game.
We have a lot of luck in the plentuful wild apple orchards or walking the paths in one of thousands of Irvings pine plantations, We normally use a 12 gauge with moderate chokes for all upland.
